# Terms of use

These terms govern your use of the Weekfuel iOS app. We've kept them as clear as we can.

*This is a translation. In case of any discrepancy, the [German version](/de/nutzungsbedingungen/) prevails.*

## 1. Provider and scope

The Weekfuel app is provided by Paul Schachner (Schachner Media), Bahnhofstraße 6 / Top 25, 6890 Lustenau, Austria ([imprint](https://weekfuel.app/en/imprint/)). These terms apply to your use of the app. Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies in addition.

## 2. What Weekfuel is

Weekfuel is an app for logging meals and calories on a weekly basis. It calculates a weekly budget, estimates calories and macronutrients (including via AI photo analysis), converts Apple Health steps into calories and shows a weight trend. No account is needed.

## 3. No medical advice

**Weekfuel does not replace medical or dietary advice, diagnosis or treatment.** All values (BMR, expenditure, calories, macros, goal date) are estimates based on general formulas and your input. Talk to a doctor before changing your diet, especially if you have a health condition, are pregnant or breastfeeding, have an eating disorder or take medication. The app is intended for healthy people aged 16 and over.

## 4. AI estimates

Photo analysis is performed by AI models. Detected ingredients, portions and nutrition values are automatically generated estimates and may be significantly off. Please review results and adjust them as needed.

## 5. Your obligations

Use the app for private purposes only and within applicable law. Do not upload photos that infringe third-party rights or show other identifiable people.

## 6. Pricing and in-app purchases

Weekfuel is currently free. If paid features or subscriptions are introduced, price, duration and renewal will be clearly shown in the app and on the App Store before purchase. Purchases and cancellations are handled exclusively through your Apple account under Apple's terms.

## 7. Availability and changes

We continuously develop Weekfuel and may change, add or discontinue features. There is no entitlement to a specific feature or to constant availability of AI analysis.

## 8. Liability

We are fully liable for intent, gross negligence and personal injury. For slight negligence we are liable only for breaches of essential obligations and limited to typical, foreseeable damage. To the extent permitted by law, we accept no liability for decisions you make based on estimated values. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.

## 9. Data and privacy

How we handle data is described in the [app privacy policy](https://weekfuel.app/en/app-privacy/). Since your data is stored on your device, you are responsible for backups. Deleting the app or using “Reset data” erases it.

## 10. Intellectual property

The app, its design, texts and logos are protected by copyright. You receive a simple, non-transferable right to use the app for private purposes.

## 11. Governing law

Austrian law applies, excluding its conflict-of-law rules and the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer habitually resident in another EU country, the mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence remain unaffected.
