Website privacy policy

This is a translation. In case of any discrepancy, the German version prevails.

1. Controller

We have not appointed a data protection officer, as there is no legal obligation to do so.

2. Principles of this website

• No cookies. This website does not set any cookies.
• No tracking or analytics tools. No Google Analytics, no pixels, no profiling.
• No third-party content. Fonts, images and scripts are served only from our own server. No embedded videos, maps or social media.
• One single form. The support form is processed directly by our host Netlify (see section 7a), without third-party services such as reCAPTCHA.

3. Hosting and server log files

This website is hosted by Netlify, Inc., 101 2nd Street, San Francisco, CA 94105, USA. When you visit a page, Netlify processes technically necessary data in server log files:

• IP address of the requesting device
• date and time of access
• requested URL and HTTP status code
• amount of data transferred
• browser type and operating system (user agent)
• referring page (referrer), if sent by your browser

Purpose: delivering the website, stability and security (e.g. defending against attacks).
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in secure and reliable operation).
Retention: log files are kept only as long as necessary for these purposes and then deleted by Netlify.

We have a data processing agreement with Netlify under Art. 28 GDPR. Netlify may process data in the USA. Netlify is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework; transfers rely on the European Commission's adequacy decision (Art. 45 GDPR) and additionally on standard contractual clauses (Art. 46 GDPR). 4. Audience measurement

We currently do not use any audience measurement. If we enable a server-side, cookieless statistic (such as Netlify Analytics) in the future, we will update this policy beforehand.

5. Local storage

If you switch between light and dark mode or choose a language, your browser stores that setting locally on your device (keys wf-theme and wf-lang). These values are never sent to us and only serve to remember your choice.

Legal basis: § 165(3) Austrian Telecommunications Act 2021 (strictly necessary for a service you explicitly requested) and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. You can delete them anytime in your browser settings.

6. Calculators

The calculators on this website run entirely in your browser. Your inputs are neither transmitted nor stored.

7. Contact by email

If you email us, we process your email address and message to answer your request.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (app-related requests) or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (other requests).
Retention: until your request is resolved, beyond that only where legal retention obligations apply.
Our mailbox is provided by Gmail from Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Data may be transferred to Google LLC in the USA (EU-US Data Privacy Framework, Art. 45 GDPR).

7a. Support form (Netlify Forms)

If you use the support form, we process the details you enter: topic, email address, message and, optionally, name, iPhone model, iOS and app version. The data is sent encrypted to Netlify Forms, a service of our host Netlify, Inc. (see section 3, data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR, EU-US Data Privacy Framework). Netlify stores the submission and notifies us by email. Spam protection uses an invisible honeypot field – no cookies and no reCAPTCHA.

Purpose: answering your request, fixing bugs and improving the app.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (app-related requests) or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (other requests); the consent checkbox serves to inform you and confirm.
Retention: we delete submissions in Netlify once your request is resolved, at the latest after 12 months, unless legal retention obligations apply.

Please don't send us health data through the form that we don't need for your request.

8. Your rights

You have the right to access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object (Art. 21) to processing based on legitimate interests. Just write to couplemaxxapp@gmail.com.

9. Right to lodge a complaint

You can lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In Austria this is the Österreichische Datenschutzbehörde (Austrian Data Protection Authority), Barichgasse 40–42, 1030 Vienna, dsb.gv.at.

10. Changes

We update this policy when the website or the law changes. The version published here applies.
